Your 12-word recovery phrase is your one and only backup for your Galvan wallet. It is displayed only once during the account setup process. At that time, you are instructed to write it down and store it in a safe place.
If you are trying to locate your recovery phrase, please check your personal files or records where you may have saved it. For security reasons, your recovery phrase cannot be viewed again, changed, or retrieved by Galvan once it has been generated.
-
Galvan does not store your wallet passcode or your 12-word recovery phrase.
-
If you lose your recovery phrase or passcode, Galvan can archive your wallet.
-
However, please be aware that any NFTs or tokens currently in your wallet will be permanently forfeited as part of this reset process.
-
Galvan will NEVER ask for your 12 words, private key or wallet passcode.
To protect your account, Galvan requires a KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification process before authorizing a wallet archive and reset. This process includes submitting a photo ID and completing a DocuSign agreement to confirm your identity and consent.
We strongly recommend writing your 12-word recovery phrase on paper and storing it in a secure location that only you can access with a backup stored in a separate secure location. This ensures that you retain full control over your wallet and your digital assets.
